State Representative Rylee Linting is Downriver Raised – Downriver Focused. A lifelong Downriver resident, dedicated conservative leader, and passionate advocate for hardworking Michigan families, Rylee understands the values that define our communities—hard work, personal responsibility, faith, and family.

Born in Wyandotte and raised in Grosse Ile, Rylee is currently serving her first term in the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 27th House District, including Grosse Ile Township, Gibraltar, Riverview, Trenton, Wyandotte, and a portion of Southgate.

In Lansing, Rylee has built a reputation as a strong voice for affordability, education, healthcare access, and protecting taxpayers. She has fought to lower costs for working families by supporting efforts to eliminate the state tax on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security income.

Rylee has also worked to protect and expand access to healthcare for Michigan families. She sponsored and successfully passed legislation to preserve Michigan’s participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, ensuring qualified doctors from other states can continue practicing in Michigan and helping protect patient access to care—including right here in Downriver communities that depend on strong local healthcare systems like Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

Understanding that strong communities need strong workforce opportunities, Rylee championed investments in skilled trades education, helping secure millions in funding to expand career training opportunities for Downriver students and future workers.

Rylee believes strong families are the foundation of a strong Michigan. Raised in a hardworking household, she saw firsthand the sacrifices parents make to provide opportunities for their children. Her father worked long hours to support their family, while her mother dedicated herself to raising Rylee and her siblings with strong values, faith, and a commitment to service.

That upbringing shaped Rylee’s belief that every family deserves the opportunity to succeed, keep more of what they earn, access quality healthcare close to home, and build a brighter future for the next generation.

When she’s not serving in Lansing or helping constituents at home, Rylee enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, and supporting local businesses throughout the Downriver community.
